Video Review: Panamas Paradise, Bocas del Toro

Location

Panamas Paradise is located on Isla Colon, in Bocas Del Toro on the north east coast of Panama, close to the Costa Rican border. Getting to the Island is done via a quick 20 minute water taxi from the mainland.

We took an overnight bus from Panama City to arrive there in the early morning. When you land on the island you take a taxi to the apartments which are about a 5 minute ride from the port.

To lay your head

Every apartment is beautifully individually designed and super comfortable, with big wooden windows that open out into the beautiful gardens.

The beds are big and comfy and the linen is cleaned daily. Each room feels cosy and perfectly designed to catch cool breezes on warm nights. Jenny is a lovely host and has thought of everything you might need to feel at home.

Eating

One of the great things about Panamas Paradise is the ability to cook meals, make smoothies and live a “normal” eating life after eating out for so long. The kitchens are fully equipped, really clean and have everything you could possibly want to make meals and feel “at home”.

Wifi

The wifi works well in the rooms and on the balconies.

Activities

There are a multitude of beaches to visit on the island. There are also a lot of boat trips, both for snorkelling and diving to take. The island is also close to many natural delights such as whale watching, turtle nesting and sharks, depending on the season.

The nightlife is pretty chilled with some laid back bars, as well as some pretty cool places to sip some cocktails along the water front.

Bicycles & Hummingbirds

Included in the price is free rental of push bikes while you are staying. This is a lovely add on which allows you to really explore the island at your leisure. The rooms also come with satellite TV stations if you really need your fix of home country programming.

Hummingbirds hover and play around the balcony all day giving this place a really magical air.

 We say

A super relaxing place to stay and unwind – this is the kind of place you want to go back to, or never leave! Panama’s Paradise is one of the most unique and lovely places we have stayed in Central America.

If you find yourself in Panama, Bocas Del Toro has a wonderfully relaxed pace, and the cabanas are the perfect complement to the island, they are bright and comfortable with everything thought out so that you can feel truly at home.
