Secret Garden Hotel, Tulum

Secret Garden Hotel is located in Tulum on the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico. Tulum is approximately 2 hours south of Cancun on the Caribbean Coast. It is home to incredible white sand beaches and turquoise water.

It is far enough away from the overcrowded tourist traps of Cancun and Playa Del Carmen yet with all the conveniences of a modern Mexican town.

To lay your head

Secret Garden Hotel has 5 hotel rooms and 3 cabanas which look onto a beautiful, tranquil garden. The beds are queen size and come with crisp sheets and are super comfortable. This is a really relaxed and stress free place to stay.

The rooms have been lovingly decorated and everywhere you look are thoughtful extras like iPod speakers, funky outdoor lounge settings and hammocks. Many of the rooms and cabanas have a kitchenette.

Eating

The Secret Garden is close to all the best restaurants in town. The staff here are really knowledgeable and will direct you to places which suit your taste, budget and pallet. They also provide free tea, coffee and fruit for guests day or night, this is a really nice touch.

Wifi

The wifi is really good here! It is strong and works well throughout the property.

Activities

Tulum is famous for its Mayan Ruins, cenotes and its pristine beaches. These are all located a short taxi ride from The Secret Garden. Whether you like to lounge in the sun basking all day, or get more active and snorkel through some of the most amazing underwater caves in the world, Tulum has something for you which will make you feel in paradise.

Home away from home

Having a home away from home is such a bonus when you are travelling – short or long term. Secret Garden Hotel is the perfect kind of hotel, exotic and homely. Tulum has great produce available and sometimes it is nice to get some lush food and stay in. The self contained rooms allow you this luxury.

The staff here are fantastic. They spend a half hour with you when you arrive, finding out what you want to do while in Tulum and making sure you have the information you need. This is the best service of this nature we have seen in all our travels.
