Location
Los Dos Molinos is located around 10 minutes drive from the main bus terminal in San Pedro Sula. When you book your accommodation be sure to connect with the hosts as they will pick you up from the bus terminal! The guesthouse is a ten minute walk from a massive shopping centre in what seemed to be a nice, quiet part of town.
To lay your head
They have 6 double rooms with A/C, TV and private bathroom. Our room and bathroom were clean and comfortable.
Eating
We arrived in the afternoon and left early the following morning so didn’t have too much time to sample the local delicacies. We did walk up to have a look around the standard food courts in the shopping mall but decided to eat in a small little roadside restaurant around the corner from our lodgings. We had really cheap and tasty tortillas.
Wifi
The WiFi works in the rooms but while it is not the strongest, it is perfect for sending emails and looking at Facebook updates.
Activities
There are lots of things on offer and our hosts run tours and have a wealth of information on what you can do. As we were just staying overnight we didn’t avail of these options.
Bus pick up/drop off
The free pick up and drop off to the bus terminal is an awesome touch. Our host Luis was there waiting for us with a sign when we arrived and had no qualms about getting up at 5 am to drop us off the next day, he even had a banana and a drink each for us on our travels.
We say
Guesthouse Dos Molinos is cheap, secure and clean with everything you could want in a B&B/hostel. It is the perfect place to stay for a few days to regroup on your way to or from Utila. There is more information on the Hostel World website but they will give you a better rate if you book through the hostel directly.
